About Therapy

People come to therapy and counselling for many different reasons, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, feeling emotionally stuck, loss, overwhelm or identity questions. Some people may have a general sense that something no longer feels manageable, meaningful, or connected to who they are. I offer a calm and thoughtful space to explore whatever may be causing difficulty in your life.

My approach is relational, which means I see therapy as something shaped through the relationship we build together. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or advice, we pay attention to patterns, emotional experiences, and ways of relating that may have developed over time. We may also explore broader questions around identity, purpose, change, uncertainty, and what it means to live in a way that feels more real or satisfying.

Therapy can help create greater understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the difficulties you may be facing, while also allowing space for change to emerge at a pace that feels safe and workable.

I see clients in a quiet, private room in central Exeter. The space offers a calm and confidential setting, allowing time and space to think, reflect, and talk openly about whatever feels important.
